This January, the Common Table will gather the world’s leading practitioners and scholars called to care for clergy and congregational well-being.

You will experience:

  • engaging plenaries on pressing topics with world-renowned speakers

  • action-oriented collaboration through design labs on well-being

  • ground-breaking insights from leading research and practice

Our Approach

Design Labs Advancing Well-Being


Design labs are curated, action-oriented workshops that merge research with practice.
They will energize you, create partnerships and friendships, and ultimately advance God’s kingdom through healthier clergy and congregations.

As you can likely tell, our gathering is not your typical “conference.” Instead of simply listening to lectures, our gathering focuses on conversations happening among experts and friends at the table.

We come from diverse backgrounds including scholars and professionals in academic settings as well as mental health, health care, retreat, and pension, benefit, and insurance settings.

    Our gathering is not your typical conference. Instead of just sitting listening to lectures, our gathering focuses on conversations happening among experts and friends at the table.

    We hope to create an experience that energizes you, creates partnerships and friendships, and ultimately advance God’s kingdom through healthier clergy and congregations.

  • Our gathering will take place from January 6-8, 2025 at Biola University just outside of Los Angeles. The address for Biola University is: 13800 Biola Ave, La Mirada, CA 90639.

  • FLIGHTS

    Orange County John Wayne Airport (SNA) is the closest airport to Biola University and the easiest to navigate.

    Los Angeles (LAX) is also possible, but it is further from Biola.

    PARKING & GROUND TRANSPORTATION

    Parking is available for guests at both the conference hotel and Biola University. We will provide a shuttle between the conference hotel and Biola University during the conference.

  • Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, we have highly subsidized the conference.

    Guests are responsible for a conference registration fee as well as booking their own transportation and lodging. We have reserved a room block at a nearby hotel at a heavily discounted rate. You can reserve your room here.

    Registration will close on December 20, 2024. However, space is limited, and the conference registration fee increases as we get closer to the conference.
